In recognition of Pride Month, Grubhub is supporting and celebrating LGBTQ+ owned restaurants in partnership with The National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC).

LGBTQ+ owned restaurants have a deep-rooted history of bringing communities together, but in a year of quarantine and social distancing, the pandemic has not only impacted business but the togetherness that’s at the heart of the LGBTQ+ community. To help support LGBTQ+ owned restaurants and the communities they serve, we’re partnering with NGLCC as our Donate the Change partner for June. Customers will be able to round up their change on their order total and donate the difference with all proceeds supporting NGLCC and LGBTQ+ owned restaurants. As the business voice of the LGBTQ+ community and certifying body for LGBTQ+ owned businesses nationwide, donations from the partnership fund a new program with NGLCC, providing grants and scholarships to help affected LGBTQ+ owned restaurants and their local chambers recover from the economic effects of COVID-19.

This month, we’re also working with Brooklyn-based illustrator Xia Gordon to profile LGBTQ+ owned restaurants from different parts of the country to be published on them, a next-generation community platform that chronicles and celebrates the stories, people, and voices emerging and inspiring us from the lens of today’s LGBTQ+ community.

Additionally, on June 25, Grubhub will be hosting their latest edition of Sound Bites, a virtual concert series bringing some of today’s top talent straight to customers’ living rooms. Artists Troye Sivan and Kim Petras will shake the virtual stage with Grubhub donating $10 for every comment during the livestream (up to $100,000). The proceeds will also go directly to supporting NGLCC and its work within the community.

This month, we encourage our community to get involved and help support and celebrate the LGBTQ+ owned restaurants and communities across the country.
